Vision 2036
The Dholera project: why we are building for biotech
The group has committed to India-scale biotech manufacturing at Dholera SIR, with land acquisition planned for late 2026. Here is the reasoning.
The next decade of pharmaceutical value sits in molecules that today's small-molecule plants cannot make.
Why Dholera
The Dholera Special Investment Region offers what greenfield biotech needs and established industrial districts cannot easily provide: contiguous land at scale, planned utilities designed for heavy process industry, and room for the phased construction a biologics campus demands.
The staging
The plan runs in stages — land acquisition first, a green-field hormonal manufacturing project at Sanand in parallel, and biotech construction commencing at Dholera in the early 2030s, with the facility targeted to be operational by 2035.
What it means for the group today
Every registration we file and every market we deepen between now and then is also building the commercial network that a manufacturing campus of that scale will need on day one. The vision is dated 2036; the work is daily.
